Anthony AdamsANTHONY LEIGH ADAMS is a writer, producer and director with credits in film, television and theatre.  For television, he has written over 30 episodes for such diverse series as Disney’s Duck Tales, Jim Henson’s Fragglerock and Universal’s She Wolf of London.  He also wrote and produced the ABC movie, Badge of Betrayal, starring Harry Hamlin and the NBC movie, Murder or Memory, starring Emmy-winner, Leigh Taylor Young. With his partner, Christina Adams, he’s developed a number of projects for Disney, Tri-Star, Universal, Hearst Entertainment, ABC, CBS and NBC, among others. 

Anthony has directed a number of award-winning videos and short films, including The Deflowering of Budd Stump, starring Christopher Atkins.  His feature film directing debut, Lost Lake, which he also wrote and produced, was released on DVD in by Warner Brothers Home Video, after a limited theatrical release.

In addition to his work in film and television Anthony is an accomplished playwright and composer.  He has directed many of his original plays and musicals in London, San Diego and Honolulu, including The Adventures of Olig and Obster, A Song For Gar, An Eye In Each Head, The Living Cell and The Great Relativity Bomb Plot.  He also composed music for the national touring production of The Grapes Of Wrath, starring Ed Harris and toured as a performer with the Harry Partch Ensemble.

Anthony recently produced, co-wrote and directed Primal Twang: The Legacy of the Guitar, a theatrical journey through the colorful and surprisingly controversial 3500-year history of the guitar, featuring electrifying live performances by flatpicking legend, Dan Crary and an all-star ensemble of guitar greats, including Grammy-winners, Eric Johnson, Albert Lee, Andrew York, Mason Williams, Doc Watson and Raul Malo. The production debuted to enthusiastic sold-out audiences in San Diego at the historic Birch North Park Theatre.  A DVD of selected performances is in current release and will be broadcast on PBS stations in 2010.

After completing postproduction on the Primal Twang documentary, Anthony wrote and directed Love-In: A Musical Celebration, the second in Adams Entertainment's Stories In Song series.  Love-In, starring Tony Award-winner, Ben Vereen, and a cast of 1960's musical greats including, Jesse Colin-Young, Peter & Gordon, Buddy Miles and Strawberry Alarm Clock, also premiered at the Birch North Park Theatre to sold-out audiences.  Anthony directed the filming of the performances for a DVD release.  Love-In will air nationally on PBS stations in June 2010.
